There are many valuable web analytics learning resources available online, especially blogs that are updated frequently to provide readers with the most recent trends in the field. For beginning learners, it is time-consuming to search through many blogs to find informative content. Occam’s Razor is written by Avinash Kaushik, the author of the popular books Web Analytics: An Hour a Day and Web Analytics 2.0. He shares his hands-on experience and insights on web analytics through working as “the analytics evangelist for Google and the cofounder of Market Motive, Inc” [1].  His blog is organized into topics so it is convenient for readers to search for blog posts of their interest. The major categories are digital marketing, digital analytics, practical analysis, qualitative analysis, competitive intelligence analysis, excellent analytics tips series, web metrics, tools, digital careers, etc. Readers can learn a broad spectrum of skills from this blog.


If you are particularly interested in learning about data charting and graphics, this is the blog you must follow. The author Kaiser Fung is a professional statistician. He is a pioneer in “the critical examination of data and graphics in the mass media” [2]. Avinash Kaushik claims this blog to be one of his favorites in his book Web Analytics 2.0.
